Barnabus is a christian charity founded in 1991 to serve the needs of the homeless, destitute, and the prostitutes who work in Manchester.
Barnabus operates an evening street outreach Monday-Wednesday in the city centre meeting the immediate need of those who require food, drink, clothing or information.
The Beacon, Barnabus's drop-in centre is open at various times throughout the week providing food, drink, support and a number of social and educational activities.
Representatives of Barnabus also work in local prisons supporting inmates prior to and upon their release from prison.
