The MS Society has launched a new project to support people living with MS in Bolton, Salford and Manchester.
The project aims to support people with MS to improve their emotional wellbeing and financial security.
It’s funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and is delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice Manchester.
GreaterSport are on the hunt to find Greater Manchester’s most inspiring stories about moving a little more each day and the positive effects it has had. To be in with the chance of being the next face of the campaign all you have to do is post your story, image and/or video under any of the competition posts found on the @ThatCountsGM social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).
The 2020 Greater Manchester Walking Festival is all about the joy and fun of walking and GM Moving are hoping the walks can bring this concept to life. Using the joy and fun approach, the festival aims to celebrate walking, places to walk and people to walk with, and appeal to a range of audiences.
Diva Creative on behalf of GM Walking are looking for people to share their walking stories to cover: Where do you walk? Why do you walk? What are the benefits? How does it make you feel? What is your favourite thing about walking etc.
Voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) groups and organisations in each of the local authority areas of Greater Manchester are being sought to provide peer support opportunities for parents, carers and families of children with suspected or diagnosed Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
The Caribbean and African Health Network’s (CAHN) ambition is to work with Caribbean and African community in Greater Manchester to eradicate health inequalities within a generation.
The aim of this scoping exercise is to gather essential information that will provide an overview of where the Black community lives across the 10 localities of Greater Manchester.
The And Breathe exhibition explores how people can interact with art to nurture their mental and emotional wellbeing.
It also considers the theme of care, particularly how we care for ourselves and our communities.
To understand the role a gallery can play in supporting those who care for others, Manchester Art Gallery asked the Depaul UK team to take part in a series of mindfulness sessions at the gallery.
