The State of the Sector survey is back and we need your help!
These new grants aim to help museums, galleries and cultural organisations respond to immediate challenges connected to the Covid-19 crisis, and offer support to adapt and reimagine ways of working for the future.
Archives+, the city’s showcase and repository for archives and family history, is inviting all Mancunians to share their writing, drawings, photos, audio and video files, which could form part of future exhibitions about life during the COVID-19 lockdown.
All submissions from Manchester residents, no matter how big or small, are welcome.
Charities, businesses and the arts have joined forces to support thousands of young people across Greater Manchester during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The initiative, led by Greater Manchester Combined Authority, will see 22,000 Creative Care kits distributed to young people who are not online, and so may be feeling more isolated and lonely during this difficult time.
Museum Detox exists to empower people of colour working in the museums and heritage sector. Membership is completely free, offering a UK-wide community and the opportunity to connect with Detoxers in the North. Sign up can be completed through this short online form.
Due to Covid-19 the Manchester Histories Celebration Day will not happen this year.
CAN is currently offering free training sessions for unemployed artists, creatives and community leaders using the arts. The training is for people who are taking their first steps into a career in the arts in the UK. CAN especially welcome applications from refugees, women, people aged 50+, young people aged 19 or over, disabled people, and those who have significant barriers to employment.
Creative City would like to invite you to create some art that helps remind elder neighbours who are having to reduce their contact with their community that we are thinking of them.
Your artwork will be sent to a Manchester retirement home or elder people’s community group for them to distribute,

60 micro commissions worth £500 each will be given to artists and creators, based in Greater Manchester, across all artforms (music, art, poetry, theatre, short stories, design, gaming, stories, etc.
Work created will form a permanent archive of Greater Manchester’s creative response to Covid-19.
