Sport England has awarded Greater Manchester £10m National Lottery funding, having chosen the region as a pilot area to make getting active even easier.
Following the Prime Minister's wider endorsement of the Jo Cox Commission recommendations on Loneliness in January 2018, the £11.5 million Building Connections Fund has been set up to support projects that are able to prevent or reduce loneliness.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), in partnership with Sport England, has launched the new Integrated Communities Innovation Fund. The Fund will help drive forward proposals to tackle the key causes of poor integration set out in the Government’s Integrated Communities Strategy Green Paper published in March 2018, by offering support to projects who can demonstrate innovative approaches to tackle the barriers to integration and building integrated communities in England.
