Open Philanthropy Fund – Tackling Financial Hardship Funds

One-off grants for small charities and other not-for-profit organisations that are supporting local communities in the UK who are facing financial hardship over the next six months.

fundingNew Philanthropy Capital (NPC) is providing two separate funds in the financial hardship sector, aiming to relieve and reduce financial hardship in the UK.

Food Response Infrastructure small grants scheme

Manchester City Council are committed to resourcing sustainable community-based food provision, with priority given to the 11 wards that have been identified as those that are likely to be most fundingaffected by the ‘Cost-of-Living Crisis’. It has been agreed that each of these Wards has been given a small grants funding pot of £10,000 through the Our Manchester Food Partnership, in partnership with Neighbourhood Teams.

Forever Manchester Awards 2022

Forever Manchester is offering 30 awards of up to £1,000 to community groups in Greater Manchester whose activities alleviate the impact of the cost of living crisis.

12 Days of Giving

12 Days of Giving is the festive final phase of Movement for Good 2022. In December, they will be giving 120 charities £1,000 each over 12 days. The first draw takes place on 1 December and the 12 days of givinglast on 16 December with 10 charities drawn every working day.

All you need to do is nominate a charity and they will be entered in to the draw.

The National Garden Scheme Community Garden Grants

Delivered by the National Garden Scheme, the Community Gardens Award provides grants of £500 to £5,000 for the creation of a garden or a similar project (such as an allotment) with horticultural fundingfocus for the benefit of the local community.

The funding is available to projects in England, Northern Ireland and Wales run by amateur gardeners within community groups or Community Interest Companies (CICs).
