Description of opportunity:

Grow Wild want to celebrate this project at Dig the City this year.

You may have heard that Manchester and Liverpool won a joint bid to Grow Wild called A Tale of Two Cities. This is to sow 10 hectarces of wildflower meadow at sites in both cities, plus lots of community engagement! Some of the sites have been sown, you can see Hulme Subway and Princess Parkway currently in blossom! Grow Wild want to celebrate this wonderful project at Dig the City. On the 30th July, we will be 'taking our meadow for a walk' from Hulme Garden Centre to the Grow Wild site at St Ann's Square. The portable meadow has been grown in Hulme and it will be an attraction at the festival. We need volunteers to come along and join the parade! This will be a fun opportunity with lost of music! From the 30th July to the 6th August, we need volunteers to help out at the Grow Wild stall. No worries if you have no stall experience, Grow Wild staff will be there to support you. This will involve giving out leaflets and chatting to members of the public about A Tale of Two Cities. You will be given a Grow Wild T Shirt to wear for the day and travel expenses can be covered. If you volunteer for 4 hours or more you will be entitled to a £5 voucher for lunch. Feel free to volunteer for a couple of hours, one day or everyday!

This is a fun and relaxed project to get involved in, be part of Grow Wild's England flagship project!
