Volunteers with availability one day per week, fortnight or month, with an option to extend this after an initial six month period. Role will offer information about the hearing centre/local services to witnesses, communicate delays; offering a support route for distressed individuals. There may be opportunities to support witnesses whilst they give evidence.
Presentable and comfortable in a formal setting
Reliable, honest and punctual
A caring, mature and supportive empthy toward others
A non-judmental, impartial and confidential approach to supporting other people
Ability to communicate clearly with others by being approachable, calm and patient
Respect for the diversity of colleagues and witnesses
Knowledge of the local area is useful
