Description of opportunity:

Are you concerned about the enormous amount of plastic littering our oceans and landfills? Would you like to make our planet a healthier and less polluted place? Why not join our team and help launch a revolutionary piece of technology that could have a major global impact in reducing harmful effects to the environment.

PROJECT OUTLINE:

The Problem:

Approximately two-billion disposable plastic inkjet cartridges go into landfill or incineration annually. Depending on the plastic, it can take between 400 – 1,000 years for the cartridge to disintegrate whilst leaking their poisonous contents into the earth. Incineration releases cancer-causing carcinogens and greenhouse gasses. Additionally, cartridges are astronomically expensive!

The Solution:

The Smartridge™ is the world’s first auto-refill permanent electronic inkjet cartridge. Installed in the printer it is NEVER replaced and is refilled in the printer by a wholly automatic recharge unit. Major international corporations have offered to buy the company in order to supress the technology.

Smartridge is a Community Interest Company (not for profit), established to benefit all mankind. We are seeking volunteers to help get this technology to market; by helping in our crowd funding campaigns on Indiegogo and Kickstarter to raise the development capital to bring this award winning technology to market.

We need people with a variety of skills or interests to help:

  • Spread the word through social media communication (marketing); Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc
  • Embrace the use of crowd speaking, using Thunderclap and Headtalker
  • With photography & video editing and production

This opportunity also gives volunteers a degree of flexibility to shape their own duties and input with the project, and Smartridge would welcome contact to this end.
