About Whitefield Methodist Church
We are honoured to be God's people doing His work in the heart of Whitefield. The Church building is also used by many community groups in an area where such amenities are hard to find. As our local area changes, we must change too, and our Vision Task Group combine the need for a spiritual vision with regular fundraising events. We hope to serve the people of Whitefield for a long time to come.
Working as part of a team and the chance of meeting new people, welcome, register and signpost visitors; encouraging participation in the activities
Purpose of the role:
To serve drinks at children's parties, joining and working with an exsisting team and interacting with visitors.
Main activities and tasks:
Welcoming people and being a friendly face
- To set out and put back a range of toys from the toys store - only if the Party Host has booked them.
- To provide free children’s juice for all the children
- To provide teas and coffees for the parents/grandparents/carers throughout the duration of the party.
- To undertake the Foundation Module for Safeguarding Training
- To ensure the party hosts to tidy up at the right time
Skills, Qualities and Experience required:
A genuine desire to welcome people with a warm, friendly, helpful approach
Comfortable working with and meeting new people
Empathy with others and a positive attitude to the role.
