The NOMA Fund aims to encourage and support grassroot community activity. This means small, community-based and locally controlled groups that manage themselves, encourage people to get involved as volunteers and who just need a bit of financial help to be able to work with their community in the way they’d like. NOMA logo

Applicants should be working with young people between 11 and 25 years old and have an annual income of less than £100,000.

Manchester City Council have a Community Asset Transfer (CAT) opportunity available for St George’s Building, 49 Barrack Street, Hulme, M15 4ER.

The property is Victorian style, built in 1902. It has strong masonry walls made with Accrington brick. The floors are solid. The roof is timber and has a dual-pitched structure. It is covered with slate. The windows are made with timber and have double glazing. Security grills are fitted inside the windows. They are also fitted at high levels outside.

International Women’s Day Walk for Women 2024

The Walk for Women is back again for International Women’s Day 2024 on 9 March, Manchester City Centre, 12pm - 2.30pm.

Meet at 12pm on Mount Street behind Central Library (by the John Cassidy 'Ardrift' statue) International women's day

The march will make its way along Mount Street and through Albert Square to Brazennose Street, before turning right into Deansgate and continuing all the way to Manchester Cathedral.
