Being There provides community-based support for local people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses including strokes, heart and respiratory conditions.
We have two branches in Manchester and also operate in Salford, Trafford and Tameside and offer volunteering opportunities at all these. Roles include one-to-one befriending, group support, hospital transport and practical help such as shopping. All volunteers are fully trained and supported.
We also offer a counselling service.

We provide support for people with life limiting illnesses, their carers and families. Befriending, respite sitting, hospital transport, support groups and counselling.
