nurturing foundationsThe first 1000 days, starting just before a baby is conceived, continuing during pregnancy and up to the age of two, are most important. The First 1,000 Days of being a parent are now accepted to be the most significant in a child’s development.

Leading child health experts worldwide agree that care given during the First 1,000 Days has more influence on a child’s future than any other time in their life.

To support a child’s mental health and wellbeing development, Nurturing Foundations will be having family engagement sessions delivering training sessions on best practice, trauma informed practice, avoiding deprivation and how to overcome impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) including cultural expectations.

Nurturing Foundations are seeking to engage with pregnant women and families with young children in Manchester area in order for them to benefit from this project. Also, all participants would receive further support in the form of vouchers to purchase baby items.
