20 Apr 2017 - 15:50 by michelle.foster

Building Better Communities 2017, the competition where deserving causes and tradespeople that make a difference in their local areas can win a share of a £250,000 total prize fund.Jewson

In 2016 Jewson gave away £250,000 to buildings that really make a difference in your communities. But it’s clear there are plenty more in need of support, which is why the fund is back for 2017 supporting projects up and down the country. Do you know a project that could benefit from a Jewson transformation?

Tell Jewson about your project – It may be a new sports club changing room, a much needed play area for children or a facelift for a community building that’s seen better days. Whatever it is, Jewson want to hear about it.

Prizes
Top regional - Prize of £50,000
This year Jewson are giving away a Top Prize of £50,000 split 50/50 between labour and building materials.

Trade Hero - Prize of £50,000
New for 2017 is the Trade Hero category, which seeks to celebrate construction workers who play a big role in their community. Whether it’s a roofer who has fixed a leak in the village hall or a builder who has supported a local children’s charity – Jewson wants to find these individuals. The Trade Hero will win £50,000 worth of building materials to enable them to complete a worthy community project.

Regional project - Multiple prizes £500 to £10,000
Could your local project use a share of the bigger prize fund? You can apply for building materials between £500 and £10,000.
