Lips Inked Arts CIC is a community arts organisation that provides inspiring opportunities to underserved neighbourhoods across Manchester. Lips Inked Arts CIC empower communities through creativity, delivering projects which bring people together, reduce loneliness and isolation, and allow people to freely access high quality cultural activities. 
The new project ‘Sounds of Light’ is now taking place every Wednesday evening during term time from 6.30pm to 8pm at Life Leisure Brinnington on Northumberland Road, Stockport. This is a music therapy project for anyone who has been affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a child, recently or long ago. It is free to attend (funded by the National Lottery Community Fund) and there is a warm space and refreshments provided.
The sessions take place in the community room which is very cosy and private. Each week there is one activity in mind. The structure of the sessions is flexible according to what participants want to explore. Lips Inked Arts CIC are planning to get creative with percussion and other instruments by having a go at playing together, improvising, and even song writing.
There is no pressure to attend every week and most importantly, absolutely no musical experience or prior knowledge is required.
