At Macc we are updating our approved supplier list

14 May 2013 - 15:49 by michelle.foster

In the current model of capacity building support, we have a limited budget to spot purchase expertise from other providers. Learning from our experience of the past three years and through listening to feedback, we are implementing some changes.

• The new supplier list will be published on the Manchester Community Central website later this year
• Voluntary and community groups using the service will be invited to rate the support they have received from suppliers in a new online function similar to Tripadvisor or Amazon Marketplace. (Further information will be available on this in due course)
• Groups will have the ability to “choose” which supplier they would like to use
• It will be possible for groups to contract directly with suppliers if they have the finances to do so – so this new space will be potentially be a source of advertising for suppliers
• Macc’s rate of payment to suppliers is now fixed with a maximum rate which is inclusive of VAT. This is to enable us to make the most of limited resources. The actual rate payable will be negotiated with suppliers dependant upon the support needed. Suppliers will be personally responsible for the payment of their own tax and national insurance contributions
• To be eligible for consideration you must agree to become an affiliate member of Macc

If you would like to be considered for inclusion on Macc’s supplier list, please complete and return the attached form no later than 14 June 2013 and email it to: [email protected]. You will be contacted no later than 1 July 2013 about your application.

Please note that the new system will be in operation for all work purchased from Monday 1 July 2013.
