Nine Lives Community Fund

26 Aug 2016 - 11:05 by michelle.foster

The Nine Lives Fund is a partnership between Forever Manchester and the Chambers of 9 St. Johns Street, Manchester. The Fund is currently inviting applications from groups that provide activities for young people between the ages of 10 – 18 and living in deprived areas of Greater Manchester and with an income of under £150K. Priority will be given to projects working with children and young people with disabilities. Awards of up to £2,000 are available.

Who can apply?
The Fund likes to support small, community-based and locally controlled groups that manage themselves, encourage active participation from volunteers, and have minimal cash reserves and limited access to funding support.

The Nine Lives Community Fund’s current funding priorities are:
• Sporting activities for young people, aged between 10 –18, living in deprived areas of Greater Manchester
• Activities for young carers
• Projects supporting children with disabilities
• Projects giving children opportunities that they would otherwise miss out on

For further information and to apply, contact the Communities Team on 0161 214 0940, or email: [email protected].
