Postcode Local Trust Grants

3 Feb 2017 - 11:06 by michelle.foster

The Postcode Local Trust has changed its funding themes and application process, and is currently open for its first funding round of 2017. In 2017, the Trust is looking to fund projects that are of local importance, with a particular focus on projects that improve the environment for the benefit of local communities and encourage conservation action at a local level.

Postcode Local Trust (PLT) seeks to enhance local areas and local projects - those things that local people feel are important to preserve or improve. At its heart, PLT seeks to fund projects that make a positive impact on the planet: both environmentally and by enhancing a community’s cultural heritage and, thus, pride in their local area. Postcode
Local Trust also seeks to find real solutions, which encourage local people and groups to take a more active role in helping their natural or built environment.

Registered charities in England and Scotland can apply for grants of between £500 and £20,000 (in Wales, £500 - £10,000), and voluntary and community organisations without a registered charity number can apply for grants of up to £2,000.

Round 1 of 2017 is open for expressions of interest until 10 February 2017. Selected applicants will then be invited to send in a Stage 2 application between 6-31 March 2017.
