Student Experience Internship (SEI) Programme – funded students available for summer project/internship work

18 Dec 2015 - 10:56 by michelle.foster

The University of Manchester is once again offering local charity and not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to engage with their students for summer project work.

The Student Experience Internship (SEI) programme provides funding to pay for a limited number of second year undergraduates to undertake an eight week summer internship in the sector within Greater Manchester.

The scheme aims to help organisations complete projects that are neglected due to a lack of resources (particularly related to business functions rather than direct fundraising activities), or for students to assist by undertaking a particular role that is required during the summer months.

The students are paid by the University and they receive full support through a weekly development programme. Host organisations receive full support during the recruitment process. Students would be available from early July 2016 onwards for an eight-week period.

If you would like your project to be considered for funding, complete a work experience/internship project proposal form attached and return it to: [email protected] by Monday 18 January 2016, 9am.

The University of Manchester will be unable to fund all proposals submitted but all applicants will be notified of the outcome.
