Support for refugee and asylum seeking men from Greater Manchester areas

The British Red Cross is looking to reach out to new members for the Men’s Group (Bridge).

The group is currently accepting new referrals from refugee and asylum seeking men from Greater Manchester areas.

Self referrals or referrals from other agencies are accepted.

Bridge aims to help refugee and asylum seeking men aged 18 + facing isolation, disorientation, boredom and loneliness.

Bridge welcomes individuals from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds and it is important that everybody feels welcome and comfortable.
Activities include:
• Advice, information and awareness sessions
• ESOL classes
• Skill building sessions such as First Aid, fundraising, community education, etc
• Volunteering opportunities
• Sports and outdoor activities
• Site seeing trips

The Group meets every Wednesday from 1- 4 pm in St. James Church, Moss Side.

Bus fares and provide lunch will be reimbursed.
