The annual Sheila McKechnie (SMK) Foundation Campaigner Awards programme offers a development package to emerging, grassroots campaigners.

The Sheila McKechnie Foundation are looking for committed individuals who are campaigning for sustainable solutions to social, economic and/or environmental issues, and who, with the right advice and support, could achieve much more.

The Museum Of Science and Industry (MOSI) are running a growing project called Turing’s Sunflowers to celebrate the life and legacy of Alan Turing, in his centenary year with an experiment in the run up to the Manchester Science Festival 2012.

The Community Learning Innovation Fund

The Community Learning Innovation Fund, is a new fund designed to support new and imaginative community learning opportunities that encourage adults to take up, succeed and progress in learning, is now open for applications.

Organisations from across England can bid for their share of £4 million from the Community Learning Innovation Fund for projects to develop and offer creative learning opportunities that engage and motivate, in particular, disadvantaged adults.

Projects will be funded to run from September 2012 to 31 July 2013.
