One of the things I’ve said many times over the years is the need to think about volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity as a way of coping with a rapidly changing world. I’m not going to tell you to stop doing that! With a new Government with such a large majority we now know that after years, things will start moving fast…or at least it will look and feel as if they are. That big majority means acceleration. We’re just still waiting to see what direction it will take. Who knows what version of ‘One Nation Conservatism’ we will actually see?

Nesta 100 Day Challenge update

NestaThe Manchester Local Care Organisation have collaborated with a charity called Nesta and their People Powered Results team to deliver three waves of the 100 Day Challenge. This challenge is giving each of the 12 Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) in Manchester 100 days to decide upon and rapidly test innovative ideas that tackle a specific health and social care issue.

Manchester City CouncilManchester City Council would like to understand how their residents have been affected by welfare reform and Universal Credit. Manchester residents who claim Universal Credit (or their family claim) are encouraged to answer these questions to tell the Council how Universal Credit is affecting their life. Responses will also be used to help the Council and their partners develop services.

Independent Review of Prevent - Call for evidence

Gov.ukDuring the passage of the Counter Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019, the government committed to carrying out an independent Review of Prevent. Lord Carlile was appointed as the reviewer on 12 August 2019. Lord Carlile, a life peer and former barrister, has over 10 years of experience in Counter Terrorism related legislation.
