Description of opportunity:

 

FareShare Greater Manchester provides surplus food to 230 community projects in the region. You will be part of a friendly, professional team.

We have volunteer opportunities, particularly on Mondays and Tuesdays to quality control, sort and prepare food orders at the warehouse, in line with food safety legislation. You will have the rewarding experience of really making a change within the community. You’ll develop important job skills and qualifications, not only relevant to the food industry but also valued by related industries.

We start at 8:30am, so that our vans are delivering food orders in time to allow charities to cook those much needed lunch time meals!

Reliable
• Interest in the work of FareShare Greater Manchester and our values
• Physically fit to take on moving and handling of food orders
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
• good verbal communication skills
• High respect standards of Health & Safety standards
