Description of the role
The Homework Club is a valuable service for children in the area aged 8-16 as it gives them a safe and supportive place to complete homework and learn new skills. NCA are looking for volunteers to help children with their maths homework and support the maths teacher.
Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Volunteers are required to have a full induction and will be paid out-of-pocket expenses such as bus fare.
Main Tasks
- To support the Maths Teacher with Maths Key stage 2 – 4
- To assist with preparing resources photocopying, printing etc.
- To help children to complete homework
- To support children to produce good homework
- To help children to do research using computers, books etc.
- To help children to revise for exams
- To help promote activities at the Community Centre

-Good knowledge of Literacy (Minimum ESOL Entry Level 3)
- Good Knowledge of Numeracy Skills. (Minimum GCSE)
