Festival of Manchester

The Festival of Manchester is the embodiment of all that’s great about being in Manchester. We will celebrate all the communities that make our diverse and vibrant city the great place to live, work and play.

Platt fields beautiful lakeside will be full of small - scale performances and activites that reflect Manchester's diverse communities, alongside mouthwatering food and drink

What's on: the festival will comprise a variety of activities, elements, and performances, including: three performance areas that will feature music and arts from Manchester diverse communities, street food, street bazaar -  a blend of traders and good from around the world, including arts, crafts and clothing from around the world. The event will also include street sports such as BMX and skateboarding, arts and crafts activities, family street parties and an evening installation show, featuring a magic animation of light, theatre and music will involve the audience in its creation.

VOLUNTEER ROLES:

Stage management & artist liaison

- To assist at one of the activity/performance areas and enable the smooth running of the festival programme

Assisting public as a source of information and handing out programmes

- You’ll be the public face of the festival

Market Research

- conducting a questionnaire helping us to gather information about the festival attendees
