Description of opportunity:
Church of England Wythenshawe are looking for volunteers to help to pack bags for our That Bread and Butter Thing project, which runs every Friday.
That Bread and Butter Thing is a mobile food club which gives access to nutritious and affordable food taken into the heart of communities starved of money, food and resources. This low cost weekly shop not only provides essential produce for family eating but also helps prevent food waste.
What you will be doing:
- Bag packing
- Handing out packs of food to families
- Making everyone feel welcome and looked after
The skills you will need:
- A kind and caring manner
- Ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds
- Conversation skills
