The Triangle Trust – Rehabilitation of offenders and ex-offenders

Across the prison population including men, women and youth at least 1 in 2 prisoners released will re-offend within a year. Offenders need information to make the right decisions about their lives in the community: where they will live; how they will gain a legitimate income; how they will rebuild their family ties, or form new ones. They should also be helped to find support for mental health needs and substance misuse.

Digital Inclusion Fund

The Digital Inclusion Fund aims to support initiatives designing, researching or delivering digital inclusion programmes with a focus on older and/or disabled people, in a new, creative and innovative way. It aims to improve essential digital skills and demonstrate how digital inclusion can improve the lives and well being, of older and/or disabled people. The initiatives supported may also have scope to scale up and deliver a wider impact. Funding could be used to test and learn from the new approaches to tackling digital exclusion.

The FSI small charity training 4 October 2018

The FSI are running training for small charities on 4 October with courses from £7.50, at Methodist Central Buildings. Training sessions cover a wide range of fundraising techniques and back office skills delivered by experienced and knowledgeable trainers and include Developing Your Fundraising Strategy; Legacy Fundraising; Budgets, Management Accounts, and Cash Flow Forecasting; and Trustee Role in Risk Management. Furniture and pallets available for donation to community groups

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust currently have an array of furniture and pallets at their Prestwich site that are available for donation to local community offices, projects or workshops.

Available are wave office desks, pedestals, meeting chairs and pallets for any community upcycling projects. There are also broken furniture that parts could be extracted off to make something new with.

Interest community groups should arrange to view the items at the site in Prestwich, unfortunately items aren’t able to be delivered.
