Paul Hamlyn Foundation Access and Participation Fund

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation want to use their funding to support organisations to test, implement and develop ambitious plans to widen access to and deepen participation in the arts. It will not be enough to simply increase numbers – the emphasis is on addressing inequalities of opportunity. The Paul Hamlyn Foundation want to help organisations to build stronger evidence about what works so that they can improve practice and achieve greater impact.

Buckthorn House Breakfast Club

Buckthorn House is a newly established community facility in South Manchester and it will be hosting a free Breakfast Club from 20 July – 28 August 2015, Monday to Friday, 9.30-10.30.

Southway Housing want to create a welcoming atmosphere where the community can get together and enjoy a healthy start to their day.

Southway Housing need some sociable and reliable volunteers for anything from one day to every day. If you’re happy to help set tables, make tea and coffee, and wash pots, you could be part of this activity that promises to be rewarding and fun.

On Devo publication launched

An eye-catching, limited edition, printed collection of analysis and ideas on devolution has been launched by The University of Manchester.

On Devo brings together nine of the most essential blogs on devolution so far that have appeared on Manchester Policy Blogs – explaining and questioning its impact on the region’s politics, the economy, health and social care and immigration, as well as examining the role the new mayor will play.

The Sage Community Fund aims to support local people of all ages to nurture talent and / or provides life and employability skills which make a lasting contribution towards improving the quality of life of those it helps

The Fund offers up to £2,000 and will support applications that:
• Help groups rather than individuals
• Provides long-lasting benefits rather than transient ones
• Offers support to and / or aids the career progression and development (CPD) of those working for the groups we help

Manchester City Council - Neighbourhood investment funds

Manchester City Council are supporting local people by encouraging groups to apply for a neighbourhood investment fund (NIF). These are funds available to communities to make their neighbourhoods better places to live. The Neighbourhood Investment Fund (NIF) replaces CASH grant funding.

£20,000 of neighbourhood investment funding is available to every area (ward) in Manchester each year - to help groups carry out events and activities that benefit people in their local neighbourhood. All applications must be made online.

Pennington Bequest Fund

Applications for funding are invited from charities and community and voluntary organisations. Grants are provided for the provision of nursing or other charitable services for residents of Manchester, Salford and District who are in need of such help by reason of age, sickness or infirmity.

There is no limit to the size of the grant that you can apply for however grants of up to £1.000 have been approved by Trustees.
