The fund is for community organisations (charities and social enterprises) based in England that are looking to take on their first loan to help them grow and become more sustainable. 
The Christmas Challenge, founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Alec Reed CBE, is the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign which helps UK-registered charities raise funds for their cause. It offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to have their donation doubled on theBigGive.org.uk when the campaign goes live on #GivingTuesday, 28 November 2017. 
Health Action Champions is a fantastic opportunity for people aged 16 – 21 to help improve young people’s health across Manchester. 
You will get the chance to design and lead your own health awareness work, improve your knowledge of health and health services, and contribute to key discussions about health.
Games for the Brain
Join a fun indoor sporting activity group for people living with dementia and their carers in Manchester. 
Games for the Brain provides the opportunity to keep active and take part in low-impact sporting activities in a social environment.
When and where: The group takes place fortnightly on Thursday’s, from 2pm-3.30pm at St. Andrew’s Church, Brownley Road, Wythenshawe, M22 0DW.
Age UK Manchester are looking for volunteers to help within their Information and Advice Service. Available roles include generalist advisors, telephone advisors, benefit advisors and benefit form filling advisors. Full training and support will be given as required. 
This resource provides an overview of the health commissioning landscape, explaining the roles of organisations with direct commissioning responsibilities as well as key organisations in a commissioning support role. It covers the commissioning arrangements in secure settings, as well as for people with convictions in the community, and highlights where voluntary sector organisations working with people in the criminal justice system and their service users can influence health and care provision.
As you will be aware, Lifeline has been experiencing significant financial difficulties over the past few months. This has culminated in a position where in order to safeguard service provision, particularly for service users and to look after the interests of staff, Lifeline approached CGL to assist in a process that would ensure service continuity. 
The training is very much aimed at helping groups understand insolvency, why you need to know about it now and how your group can avoid insolvency.
When you hear the term Insolvency there is a tendency to associate it solely with closing organisations, this is not the case. Insolvency is also about business turnaround and getting help to take control of your organisations finances and continue onto a brighter future.
We are hosting Insolvency training to help organisations identify warning signs and ways to avoid Insolvency on 27 June, 10am-1pm at our Macc offices.
This vigil is to honour those we lost and those who are still affected by the Manchester terrorist attack on 22 May 2017.
