Manchester Health and Care Commissioning (MHCC) is committed to moving to an outcome-based model of care delivery; following the development of an outcomes-based model of homecare, the next stage is to move to a detailed understanding of current and future “bed base” requirements for the population of Manchester. MHCC’s vision is to develop a commissioning strategy for their integrated health and social care bed-based provision across the city which better meets the desired outcomes and needs of the population.

Launch of the Food Poverty Action Plan for Greater Manchester

The Greater Manchester Food Poverty Alliance have been producing the Food Poverty Action Plan for Greater Manchester and they would like to invite you to the launch event, to celebrate how far they've come in co-producing this plan, and to start working together to make it a reality.

The plan will contain many actions about the role the VCSE sector can play in tackling food poverty, and the need for a joined-up response between different sectors.

Research through Church Urban Fund’s Together Network shows that food poverty is an increasing issue in this country with more and more families using food banks and children going hungry during summer holidays without their free school meals.

Macc Christmas and New Year closure information
