2018 marks the 100-year anniversary of the Representation of the People Act 1918, when women were given the vote for the first time. Throughout 2018, Manchester, the birthplace of women’s suffrage, is marking this huge milestone for women’s equality with an exciting programme of events and activities taking place across Manchester and involving all of the city’s diverse communities. 
Local groups and organisations with great ideas to make their communities even better places to live are now invited to apply for funding to turn their ideas into reality. 
Active Communities is a funding programme for community groups and not-for-profit organisations, with an income of less than £350,000 a year or an average of £350,000 over two years.
Give your small charity a boost. Get a new website with no up-front cost. Throughout March 2018, small charities can apply for our website grant offering the design and build of a new website - a process that usually costs £3,600. 
It is known that eating socially can help people make new connections and maintain existing relationships. 
Does your organisation have a demonstrable track record in working with people over 50 who have learning disabilities? Can your experience and expertise contribute to ground breaking work that seeks to significantly reduce social isolation in this traditionally hard to reach group? Would you like to partner with Ambition for Ageing to deliver an exciting 2-phase project that will result in older people with learning disabilities to have a louder voice in discussions about ageing?
Funding of up to £15,000 is available for projects within the UK and internationally that support and transform the lives of women.

Planting grants for National Tree Week 2018, for Trees for Schools, Community Trees and Orchard Windfalls, are all now available. 
The Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF) is open to small UK-registered charities and not-for-profit organisations. Grants of up to £50,000 are available for projects of up to 2 years. The projects should strengthen the capacity of grassroots development organisations working with the poor, vulnerable and most marginalised to carry out work in priority countries and work towards achieving the Global Goals.
