Funding is available for projects which address the housing problem across the UK. Housing-focused charities in the UK can apply to the annual community grants programme from Nationwide Building Society, focusing on:

• Preventing people from losing their home
• Helping people into a home
• Supporting people to thrive within the home environment

This year, the awards have increased in size, meaning that grants of £10,000 to £60,000 are now available. Nationwide will fund between 50% to 100% of the total cost of a project.

Charities, role models and community heroes will be honoured at the 2023 ceremony showcasing their outstanding devotion to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion; thus embracing the excellence of all our citizens irrespective of race, faith, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability and culture. The concept for the National Diversity Awards arose when The Diversity Group identified an urgent need for more positive role models to be actively promoted, with the aim to empower and inspire the wide breadth of diverse communities across the UK.

The Smallwood Trust Women’s Urgent Support Fund Round 1 will offer emergency funding for organisations delivering frontline services that are led by, for and/or serving women with an income of £1,000,000 or less. The funding will help them address the increase in demand for priority basic needs of women who are most vulnerable to poverty due to the cost-of-living crisis.
