One of the core functions of the Voluntary Sector Assembly for Manchester is to give space to Voluntary Sector Organisations to talk about the work they are doing and to discuss the issues that are important to them. In this way we build knowledge, build relationships and build solidarity between organisations.

Consultation: Greater Manchester Draft European Investment Plan 2014 -2020

Greater Manchester (GM) has been allocated €415 million by the UK Government for the next European programming period from 2014 until 2020 and has produced a Draft European Structural and Investment Funds Investment Plan, which sets out the priorities which will be supported by funds that will come from the European Commission between 2014-2020.

Manchester South Central Foodbank asks for local community support

In five wards in Greater Manchester half of all children live in poverty – Moss Side, Hulme, Ancoats and Clayton in Manchester and Irwell Riverside in Salford (Greater Manchester Poverty Commission, 2013).
