This course has been created by The Social Justice Collective to help you understand, address and embed equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) into your governance practice.
The Open Doors Project is a pilot scheme established by the Office for Social Responsibility in collaboration with Manchester Museum and Alliance Manchester Business School. The scheme allows community members to book meeting rooms totally free-of-charge on the Oxford Road campus. These room bookings are open to voluntary and charity organisations, CICs and social enterprises, community groups, and residents’ associations.
To develop the new Our Manchester strategy, Manchester City Council listened to over 10,000 voices across Manchester to shape a future we can all be proud of.

We are pleased to say that the St Thomas Centre in Ardwick will continue to serve as a vital hub for voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Greater Manchester. Following the closure of GMCVO, we can now announce that agreement has been reached for Macc to take over responsibility for the Centre, safeguarding this important resource for our sector.
The Royal Literary Fund has worked with Communities First for several years, offering free workshops in writing skills, led by our professional writers. We also work with Recovery Colleges, the NHS, unions and the voluntary sector.
This 3-hour digital event looks at the essential aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion that all organisations need to be aware of, including the legal position and best practice for promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
