Manchester Mental Health Charter Alliance has been commissioned by NHS North, Central and South Manchester Clinical Commissioning Groups to engage with service users and carers who have experienced crisis.

Award criteria
A community space can be a piece of land or a building available for use by the community. Organisations needed to show:
• Best use of a community space
• How the space is seen as central within the community
• The impact it has within the local community
Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO) is looking to commission organisations to deliver the Greater Manchester Talent Match programme in areas of highest multiple deprivation across Greater Manchester or for client groups that are currently underrepresented on the programme in any area of Greater Manchester.
The ‘Don’t Hate, Educate Campaign’ will challenge negative attitudes around race and religion; work with others to educate their communities in order to tackle ignorance around race and religion and promote diversity in their communities reduce racism and religious discrimination in their communities. 
The Skills for the Future programme helps organisations deliver paid training placements to meet skills shortages in the heritage sector and to help diversify the workforce.
The Skills for the Future programme is focused on creating paid, high quality opportunities for new entrants to the heritage sector, and helping to sustain the heritage sector in the longer term.
Grants range from £100,000-£750,000.
Carriers for Causes grants are available for good causes within two miles of a One Stop shop. Grants, of up to £1000 will be available to support projects that ‘benefit local communities - helping to improve lives and local places’.
Fathers Against Violence CIC are relaunching their Fathers support service. The new program is called Fathers are Vital and is aimed at addressing the issues men face as fathers.
Macmillan Cancer Support is currently undertaking a number of engagement events to look at issues relating to mental well-being and cancer. This information will be used to inform the future work of Macmillan’s ‘cancer and mental health taskforce’. The taskforce is looking at what cancer patients and carers say about their emotional experiences, the support they get for these, and any extra support they might appreciate. 
A new lung health check service is currently being offered through a pilot project to local residents across Manchester who are registered with particular GP practices. Alongside provision of the health check Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking feedback from individuals about this new service.
