NHS Central Manchester CCG have a digital colour production machine available for free for an organisation which is:
• Working within the City of Manchester
• Not for profit
• Can demonstrate that their beneficiaries are the people of the City of Manchester
• Has three or more committee members with clear roles e.g. chair, treasurer, secretary
• Has clear aims, objectives or purpose in the form of a constitution, set of rules or other governing document

Hyper Island’s apprenticeship in Interactive Design and Development brings untapped digital talent direct to the industry in Manchester.

Supported by a world-leading experiential approach to learning, apprentices arrive at the workplace ready to learn and apply their enthusiasm.

Beginning in September 2015 and lasting 15 months, the apprenticeship offers full-time paid employment with ongoing training at Hyper Island.

Businesses within Greater Manchester work in partnership to co-design the programme and to recruit, employ, develop and train apprentices.

Manchester’s free wifi networks are available in more locations across the city. You can browse the internet, access services, use social networks and search for local businesses and destinations while on the move.

'_FreebeeMcr' is the on-street network - it's free for the first 30 minutes, then £3 for the rest of the day*
'_BusybeeMcr' is the network in many of our public buildings, and is free all day.

The British Red Cross International Family Tracing service

The British Red Cross International Family Tracing (IFT) service helps those separated from their family members through armed conflict, disasters and migration to re-establish contact.

The predominant service users are asylum seekers and refugees but the service also works with those seeking information about family members whom they were separated from through World War Two.

As the General Election draws nearer, I've been mulling over what's happened to the voluntary and community sector during the last five years. Below is a piece originally written back in summer 2011. This was, for me, the moment where I pulled together a lot of ideas and impressions and started to move towards the work which eventually became our Civil Economy for Manchester work with CLES.

The Real Junk Food Project Manchester are looking to help take over the running of a substantial city centre building, through community asset transfer, to run Manchester’s first Waste Food Café.

The Real Junk Food Project Manchester intercepts food that would otherwise go to waste from supermarkets, restaurants and a number of other sources, and turns it into healthy, nutritious meals for those in need on a pay-as-you-feel donation basis.
