Refreshed Health and Wellbeing Strategy – give your comments

Manchester City Council’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy is the city’s plan – a 10-year vision – for reducing health inequalities and improving residents' health.

Manchester City Council have refreshed the last version, agreed in 2013, so that it works alongside and supports the plan for health and social care devolution in Greater Manchester.

One Manchester Community Fund

The One Manchester Community Fund has been set up to give the people who live and work in the communities in which One Manchester operates the chance to get creative and get funding for projects which can create opportunities, transform communities and change lives.

The One Manchester Community Fund will offer £500,000 in grant funding over the next five years to socially innovative projects that will make a real difference in neighbourhoods.

One Manchester are looking for imaginative projects which make a real and lasting difference in the communities in which they work.

We Love MCR Charity - deadlines for 2016

The We Love MCR Charity was set up as a Trust to distribute funds “for Charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the City of Manchester as the Trustees shall think fit”.

Student Experience Internship (SEI) Programme – funded students available for summer project/internship work

The University of Manchester is once again offering local charity and not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to engage with their students for summer project work.

The Student Experience Internship (SEI) programme provides funding to pay for a limited number of second year undergraduates to undertake an eight week summer internship in the sector within Greater Manchester.

Living with and beyond cancer? Friendly support group

The Living With and Beyond Cancer group meets every two months at the Post Graduate Centre, North Manchester General Hospital.

Everyone in the group has had cancer or is living with the condition.
Each time there is an informal chat around a different theme, with a Macmillan Professional.
New members are always welcome.

Meetings in 2016 will be taking place at 10am-12noon on:

Desk space available with The African Caribbean Care Group

The African Caribbean Care Group (ACCG) currently, have individual desk space available for hire at their office in Oakland House, Talbot Road, Old Trafford. This open plan office space is available to voluntary organisations and charities interested in sharing with other like-minded organisations.
